OLD MONTAUK HIGHWAY

Montauk, NY

This gut renovation on Old Montauk Highway features earthy colors, natural materials and lots of light. The project was architected and designed by Oliver Freundlich, with landscaping by Summerhill.

The existing home was taken down to the studs, with all new exteriors including siding, roofing, decking and windows. The pool and pool house was also rebuilt.

The interiors of the home feature Portola Roman Clay paint, mimicking the natural feel of the European white oak flooring and wood accents seen throughout the space.

The bathrooms are home to Belgian Bluestone countertops and flooring that beautifully reflect the natural light coming from the new windows.

The Belgian bluestone continues into the kitchen space countertops.

The exterior of the property was completely updated with new siding, windows, decking and roofing. Both the roof and siding feature classic cedar shingles.

Ipe wood is used throughout the property on decking, complemented by clear cedar vertical grain siding on the cabana interiors and exteriors.
